Over the years with a principle drive to be self-sufficient, SRMT has worked on backward integration. Thus, of the many associate companies, SBCL has been the foundry wing of the group.

Sri Bhavani Castings Ltd. is an ISO 9001:2000 accredited company, extensively engaged in the manufacture of high quality SG and FG cast iron components. With its track record spanning 31 years, the company has grown and equipped with modern equipment.

S B C L is situated on the East Coast of India, 160 KM away from Vizag (the nearest airport & seaport). It is well connected by National Highway road.

• Production started in September 1974 with Grey cast iron and Malleable iron castings.

• Mains Frequency Induction Furnace replaced Oil Fired Rotary Furnace.
• Spheroidal Graphite Iron replaced ferritic malleable iron.

• Introduction of duplex melting by using divided blast cupola.
• Mechanisation of foundry with fully automated sand plant, mould handling system, monorail pouring system,
• In the year 1999, the company was accredited with ISO-9002 certification by DNV, Norway.

• Introduction of SPM's for the machining of brake drums.
• Installed one medium frequency induction furnace.
• Installed one spectrometer for the close control of melt composition.
• Established quality assurance department with modern testing facilities. Like surface roughness tester, digital height guage, optical Brinell hardness tester.
• Upgradation to ISO:9001-2000 in July 2003.

• Equipped with CNC and VMC machines.
